The Duryea Hillclimb race takes place annualy in August each year. The race is part of the Blue Mountain Region SCCA racing series. Named for the Reading PA automobile maker and following the same route that Charles Duryea used to test his cars. With a history dating back to 1951, drivers must negotiate 13 turns as they make their way along the 2.3 mile course up Mt. Penn, past the Reading Pagoda and ending at the William Penn memorial fire tower on Skyline Drive at speeds up to 140 miles per hour.
